COBOL!!

COBOL was designed in 1959 by Grace Hopper

COBOL is known as "common business-oriented language" COBOL has had a large impact on the technological world. It’s primarily used in business, finance, and administrative systems for companies and governments. It is mainly known as a programming language. It is very impactful because it is used for healthcare, ATM transactions, booked vacations and even our SSN numbers.

In my opinion, COBOL, is technically a predecessor of it’s versions. There are many different versions of COBOL as it has gone through many updates etc.
